It's been several months in coming, but Ella finally has her kitchen set. We had been wanting her to have one for a long time, especially since she takes such a huge interest whenever one of us is cooking at home. The one we planned to get ran out of stock, and we had been waiting for the store to get it in again. When it didn't, and after checking craigslist and several local stores and online sites, we found one we liked at Toys 'R Us. This gift to Ella is officially from Nan and is technically a belated Christmas gift (our fault for taking so long in locating a good one).
These pictures are from soon after we set it up. She didn't waste any time getting right to work, and in fact, was already "cooking" while I was assembling it...
We like this kitchen set because it has most of the standard amenities (sink, oven, fridge). It even has a phone and a "working" burner (sounds only), good for boiling water and frying up whatever you might like.
This was one of two big/special toys we picked up for Ella last Sunday. I will post about the second one soon, and hopefully by then she will haven taken more of an interest in it than she has so far :)

where did you put that little kitchen set? i am amazed at all the things you can fit in that apartment :) i swear there must be secret rooms or something!
lol!!!! you just really made me laugh. believe it or not i myself am amazed where we put everything that we have in our little apartment.
that is because Melody is such a great organizer. i am always amazed at how she has the little place looking so neat and tidy. She keeps an adorable house for that sweet family!
So happy Ella likes her kitchen. I am looking at play food sets and will talk with you both before i buy any for her birthday. They have really neat stuff at the doylestown book store.

i was at my bosses house last night for SB party and their little girl has the same kitchen set. She loves hers too!
