Melody and I had a night out this past Tuesday, the first in quite a while. After several recommendations from friends, we decided to check out Avatar, in 3D (not the 3D IMAX). We had a really nice time out, and both thought the movie was spectacular. The special effects and graphics are really astounding. The only complaint I had was in the way they really make sure you don't miss the environmental message in the film. As if we couldn't grasp for ourselves that military = bad, they had to throw in a "shock and awe" reference just to make sure we get it. Otherwise though, the film was great and the 2 hrs. and 40 min. just flew by.
The 3D glasses they hand out are pretty cool..well...at least Ella thought so the next day.

We hear they have a couple 3D movies at Universal Studios geared for young kids. We'll have to see if Ella likes it...of course, that would require her to do something she doesn't often do- sit still for more than 10 seconds!

yeah, good luck with that one! Getting her to sit still i mean. That means she is extremely intelligent, you know? Like we didn't know that already!
