Retraction/Correction

We hereby retract the derogatory statement in a previous post about the Phillies. It has come to our attention through a certain "Great Aunt" that the fightin' Phils are in first place and doing extremely well so far this season. So we would like to pledge our support for the Philadelphia Phillies and their 2008 season. I actually have great memories of riding the subway from Fern Rock to gool ole' Veterans Stadium (which has since been demolished) with my Pop-Pop to watch the home team play. I love those red and yellow seats! We really are Philly fans deep down and have pictures to prove it. Notice I accidentally forgot my Phillies hat, so I am temporarily supporting team Guinness here. We may even break out the cap if their winning ways continue (notice it deceivingly looks like it has never been worn) It's just that sometimes, the disillusionment stemming from all those disappointing season-endings can get the better of you. Anyway, we'll be monitoring the rest of the Phillies season and promise to jump on the bandwagon if they make the playoffs in October. In the meantime, let's all have a moment of silence as we remember another Philly team- the Flyers, and their good run this season.

oh jay...my favorite post by far is this most recent one! I LOVE IT! Just as soon as Joseph gets home from school, I'll be sure to show it to him.
However, i must say, in similar fashion to his big cousin, he almost threw his cereal bowl across the dining room this morning. ESPN highlights brought the bad news that the Phil's lost again...2 in a row. poor guy.
And yes, Lynn, the paneling...how funny. Remember putting up the tile ceiling and Bob had poles running all thru the lv room from the floor to the ceiling holding them in place while they dried. Oh and how about the signed walls under all that paneling. Memories....
Oh wait, DO you remember that?

Good ole Walt...i meant to say in the previous comment.
I have memories of the box seats on the 3rd baseline compliments of Mr. Feeney. Fun stuff. Hey Jay, do you have the picture of my Dad umping your baseball game? I'd like to show it to Joseph but can't put my fingers on it. May have given it to you some time ago.

oh yeah! Feeney's Nursery. i don't have any old photos out here. i only had the one above because we used it in our wedding montage video. probably my mom has some in those big photo binders. hey remember when i got upset with Pop-pop when he was calling balls and strikes and I was pitching? he was trying to not show any favoritism.

okay...i'm pretty sure that i have it then. i'll check and let you know. Yes! i was JUST telling someone about him umping your games and how mad we'd get at him for calling against you! poor guy. just trying not to throw the game. oh what i wouldn't give to have him come to my boys' games. you were so blessed to have him for even the short time that you did, jay.

Jay, love the countdown to OCNJ! Man, we sure wish our lives away. Always rushing the next event. That is fine at your age, but at mine, look at. I might just find myself 99 in a blink of an eye. Time flies by so fast.
Ella is already 3 months old!! Take a pic for the 3 month blog post please.
