Memorial Day

For whatever reason, we haven't done much for Memorial Days in recent years. This year was different. Grilling + swimming + games = all-American Memorial Day fun! The only thing missing was a parade. Unfortunately, parades here are either non-existent or super lame.

So we got started early and spent the day at Melody's sister's boyfriend's house. I say it's never too soon to ingratiate yourself at a possible future relative's house...especially when his parents have a pool. Just kidding Farid.

The confused look on my face would be me trying to figure out why the chicken tocino was totally sticking to the grill.

Actually, we had several cooks on site, which produced quite a nice assortment of foods from different cultures (we're cool like that here in CA)- such as Hot Dogs, salads, amazing Persian rice, corn, grilled tomatoes, salmon, chicken tocino, and lots of mangoes.

After stuffing ourselves and drinking lots of beer, we did what you're supposed to do...go swimming of course.

well your memorial day as more eventful than ours, but we did have the infamous Dtown Memorial Day parade! complete with LuLu Temple clowns, CB marching bands (now 3 HS's, and the pink car that drives backwards and squirts water (remember that one). Ahhhh, traditions.
Glad you guys finally celebrated the right way, with hotdogs!
