Living in La La Land, kids' birthdays are often a never ending competition to outdo and spend exorbitant amounts of money. I think we've (honestly, mostly Melody) done pretty well the past two years, but this year we decided to not go too overboard and have a party in which someone else could do the setup and cleanup. And what better place to host than the bowling alley (Ella's second home)?Pickwick Gardens/Bowling is right down the street and we visit often, especially since the day I've been home during the week is only $1.50/game. If only Ella's feet weren't growing, we'd probably invest in some bowling shoes for her...Anyway, on to the party...

Nothing too big and unusual happened, which was fine by me. Just a straightforward and fun party. And all we had to do was keep everybody bowling for an hour, serve them their pizza and cake, and hang out. Oh yeah, the cake. Porto's did a nice job again providing a yummy Dora version (who else?).

Ella's two favorite gifts were a toy wagon for her dolls and this one, a toy food slicing set.

She still has one more big gift coming...which will be sure to a have a blog post dedicated to it: the highly anticipated C-A-R.
