A Few Random Updates

I realized that we often post about what we have been doing, day-to-day routines and such, but sometimes we neglect to give any updates on how Ella is developing and things in that vein. So here are a few:

She is catching on to new words much faster now. You may have noticed our ongoing list on the side...but she recently started saying No-no (for "Lolo") and Na-na (for "Ella").

We are trying to make sure Ella is better at sitting in her chair at mealtimes, and not too restless. Just in the past week or so, we've noticed a big difference (this helps out a ton when out at restaurants!).

Ella seems to have almost no fear of strangers, with the exception of letting someone new hold her. Every time we go to a restaurant or somewhere, she wastes no time in walking up to all the tables and waving. It is especially effective when she punctuates it with a loud "hey!".

She is really getting into her church songs, Sesame Street songs, and other stuff I play for her at home. Ella loves for us to sing these activity type songs for her and she does a pretty good job of following the motions. She has been sitting at the piano with me and once one song is over, she immediately says "mo-o, mo-o" (more). Just yesterday she got so excited when we put in the companion DVD to her Sesame Street CD, which she knows backwards and forwards. She was really intent on the TV, which was a first. She really hasn't been interested in TV at all up until now. Another example- she fills in the blank to this simple nursery rhyme: I see the moon and the moon sees...."ME!". God loves the moon and God loves...."ME!".
