For obvious reasons, we can't have her halfway inside there for hours at a time. So Melody went out and got a set of refrigerator magnets.

I have to say this was a very wise investment. As Ella loves to take things out of their containers and put them back, so she also loves to knock these magnets off (semi-violently) and then put them back on. It's a perfectly good distraction for her while we're trying to make breakfast or dinner.

See?And since we always like to show Ella in action...

You may have noticed that Ella keeps saying something that sounds like "Tao." No, she isn't studying some ancient martial arts or anything. Melody informs me she is actually saying "Ta-o", which in Bisaya (her family's dialect) means person. Ella often hears "Ta-o" at her Lolo and Lola's house when someone comes to the door. It infers something like, hey someone is here, go get the door.. At least that's as much as I can gather. I am still learning the language myself after 5+ years.

Good job Mel!! Why didn't Nan think of that? Guess i've been out of that stage way too long. She sure loves playing with them. Now if she can just stay interested in them for longer then a day.
(grammy used to have those i think, maybe lisa. Someone did)
both.
i love when she started clapping for herself! so cute! :)
i don't know what we started. now she claps for herself regardless of whether or not the magnet actually stays on the fridge :)
she is learning to think very highly of herself :) good luck with that in a few years! haha
