On the Move

As you may know, Ella has not been able to sit still ever since she started crawling. She constantly wants to be on the go. We have to watch her like a hawk, as she is not usually even content just to sit and play in her little bathtub. As a matter of fact, she no longer needs our help at all in standing up. We snapped these photos of her the other day (Thanksgiving afternoon) trying to climb out.
Part of it may be that she gets easily bored. We are constantly giving her new things to play with because she will only stay interested for about a day. Then she wants to move on to something else. Lately, she seems to enjoy just dropping things on the floor. That's right. Give her something, and 1.5 seconds later, it will be on the floor. You can imagine how quickly that game gets old :). If you need anything that needs dismantling, taking apart, or ripped, Ella is the one to help you out. This video is of her in the bathroom, playing with Mommy's makeup. It should give you a pretty good idea of what we are talking about. We have to be extra careful because Ella can actually move this whole shelf by herself (and almost pulled the thing down on her head once). Again, from Thanksgiving day...

The one place that Ella is content to stay for a while, is by the bedroom window. She LOVES to sit or stand here early in the morning and watch what is going on outside. It has become her morning routine.
I love this window too. When I come home from my church jobs on Sundays, Ella is often at this window waiting for me. These pictures are from today, when I was outside and Ella and Melody were taking a peek from inside. Our friend Olivier was over and was quick to seize the opportunity.

mom, IMHO, i don't think that you ever had the "curse". i have fond memories of you sitting at your desk, reading, studying, corresponding. i think it's from Dad, actually.
